Our Philosophy

The Internal Garden

The body is not a machine. Machines break down randomly and require external repairs. The body is a garden. Gardens respond to conditions. When the soil is healthy, plants thrive. When the soil is depleted or clogged, nothing grows well regardless of the quality of the seeds planted.

This is the internal garden. The terrain. The cellular environment where health or disease takes root. Terra exists to teach people how to tend this garden.

Sequence Over Substance

Modern health advice focuses on what to consume. Eat this. Avoid that. Take this supplement. The assumption is that health is a matter of input.

Terra operates on a different assumption. The body cannot utilize inputs when the terrain is compromised. Pouring nutrition into a clogged system is like watering a garden choked with weeds. The water does not reach the soil. The plants do not grow.

Sequence matters more than substance. The body must be prepared before it can receive.

First, clear. Frequent short intermittent fasts of between 8 and 12 hours activate autophagy flux. The cells clear damaged components and accumulated debris. The terrain is emptied.

Second, restore. Full-spectrum mineral salts in warm water restore electrolyte balance and prepare the cells to receive nutrition. The two-hour wait is not optional. It is the period during which minerals travel to the cells.

Third, replenish. Broth from indigenous cattle provides bioavailable collagen, minerals, and concentrated plant compounds. The gut heals. The cells rebuild. The terrain is restored.

This sequence is not arbitrary. It is the order that works. Clearing before restoring. Restoring before replenishing. Any other order produces incomplete results.

Cumulative Effect

Health restoration is not typically a single dramatic event. It is a cumulative effect produced by consistent practice over time.

Frequent short intermittent fasts of between 8 and 12 hours do not produce dramatic autophagy spikes. They produce steady, sustained autophagy flux. The health benefits accumulate. Week after week. Month after month.

This is how pastoral communities have practiced for generations. Not extreme deprivation. Consistent, moderate fasting integrated into daily life. The cumulative effect is what sustains health.

The Body Heals Itself

The body is not broken. It is burdened. Accumulated metabolic debris, mineral depletion, and chronic inflammation interfere with normal function. When these burdens are removed, the body returns to its baseline state of health.

This is not a claim that the body can cure any disease. It is a claim that the body has inherent healing capacity that modern lifestyles suppress. Removing the suppression allows the capacity to express itself.

We do not heal anyone. The body heals itself. We merely provide the conditions that enable healing: cleared terrain, restored minerals, and raw materials for repair.

Food as Information

Food is not just calories. Food is information. It signals to the body whether resources are abundant or scarce, whether to store fat or burn it, whether to repair or conserve.

Processed foods signal abundance and safety. They tell the body that resources are plentiful and that no preparation for scarcity is necessary. This signal, repeated daily for years, contributes to metabolic dysfunction.

Fasting signals scarcity. It tells the body that resources are limited and that efficiency is required. Autophagy activates. Repair pathways upregulate. The body becomes more resilient.

Traditional animal foods signal that the body is receiving concentrated nutrition from diverse sources. The compounds from acacia, kinkeliba, and other medicinal plants carry information that isolated nutrients cannot replicate.

Terra does not promote fear of food. We promote understanding of what food signals and how those signals accumulate over time.

No Dietary Ideology

Terra is not a carnivore diet. It is not a vegan diet. It is not a paleo diet. It is not any diet.

We do not ask anyone to eliminate any food permanently. During the three-month program, we encourage low intake of processed foods to reduce the incoming burden while the body clears what has accumulated. After the program, participants return to eating normally.

We have no ideological position on what humans are meant to eat. We have a practical position on what works to restore terrain.

No Supplements

Terra does not sell supplements. We do not recommend supplements except in cases of documented deficiency that cannot be addressed through food.

Supplements assume that isolated compounds can replace whole foods. This assumption is often incorrect. Minerals in isolation are not absorbed as effectively as minerals in their natural matrix. Plant compounds in isolation do not have the same effects as the whole plant.

The salts we provide are not supplements. They are traditional foods. They are harvested, not manufactured. They are used in the form that nature provided.

Honesty

We do not promise cures. We do not guarantee results. We share what worked for us and what we have observed working for hundreds of others.

Individual results vary. Some participants experience dramatic improvement. Others experience gradual improvement. Some do not respond as expected. We do not know why with certainty. The body is complex. Terrain restoration is not a linear process.

We are honest about what we know and what we do not know. We are honest about the ambiguity in month two of the rotation program. We are honest about the limitations of our understanding.

Accessibility

Terra exists to make terrain restoration accessible. The foundational program costs KSh 15,000 for three months. This covers the cost of rare, traditionally harvested salts from two countries, shipped to Kenya, plus the rotation schedule, supervision, food interference guide, and community access.

For those who cannot afford the program, we recommend starting with Rift Valley Alkaline salt, widely available in local markets and supermarkets. Basic terrain restoration is accessible to anyone.

We do not offer discounts or scholarships beyond the payment plan. The program price reflects the cost of sourcing authentic salts and maintaining volunteer operations. We do not profit from the program.

Our Commitment

We commit to honesty. We commit to safety. We commit to respecting the traditional knowledge of pastoral communities. We commit to not scaling beyond our capacity to provide genuine support.

We do not commit to quick fixes. We do not commit to results. We do not commit to answering inquiries within 24 hours.

Terra is a small, volunteer-run collective. We move at the pace that allows us to serve participants well. That pace is not always fast. It is sustainable.
