Case Study Writer – Ref: CSW-001/TR
Overview
Terra has over 250 participants who have completed the Rotational Mineral Priming (RMP) program over the last three years. The Case Study Writer accesses participant files, follows up with individuals to document their experiences, and maintains accurate, anonymized records. This role requires discretion, consistency, and a genuine interest in participant health outcomes.
Responsibilities
The Case Study Writer receives partial, anonymized files from Terra. The CSW contacts past participants via email, phone, or WhatsApp to inquire about their experience, whether they still practice the sequence, how often, and what outcomes they have observed. All responses are recorded in a structured format, such as a spreadsheet or database. The writer then drafts clear, factual, anonymized case summaries at a rate of three to five per month. These summaries are proofread for errors and consistency before submission. The writer also updates the participant database and content management system with new information, changes, and follow-up dates.
Database and CMS Environment
The Case Study Writer will work with two primary tools.
Airtable. Terra uses Airtable as its participant database. Airtable is a cloud-based, spreadsheet-database hybrid that allows for structured data entry, filtering, and collaboration. The writer will have access to a view containing partial, anonymized participant records. Training on the specific view and fields will be provided. The writer will update participant records with follow-up notes, outcomes, and next follow-up dates directly within Airtable.
Website CMS. The Terra website is built on an open-source static content management system. The system offers a visual editing interface similar to traditional blogging platforms but generates static HTML files that can be deployed to any hosting provider. The writer will use this CMS to publish completed and approved case studies to the Terra website. This involves updating sections of posts, formatting public content using the built-in editor, adding featured images if available, and syncing changes to the live site via one-click deployment.
Workload and Commitment
The Case Study Writer completes three to five participant follow-ups per month, requiring approximately two to three hours of work per week. A monthly stipend of KSh 7,000 is provided. The role is ongoing, with a minimum three-month commitment preferred. The position is fully remote and open to applicants in Kenya.

What the Role Does Not Include
The Case Study Writer is not required to interpret medical data. The role is to document what participants report, not to analyze or diagnose. The writer does not recruit new participants; this role focuses solely on existing participants. Social media management is a separate role. The writer does not handle sensitive medical records; Terra provides only partial, anonymized files. The role is designed to require no more than three hours of work per week, making it manageable alongside other commitments.
Compensation and Benefits
The Case Study Writer receives a monthly stipend of KSh 10,000, paid via M-Pesa or bank. The writer gains experience building a portfolio of case studies and participant documentation. A reference letter from the Terra is provided after three months. After six months of consistent work, the writer may become eligible for additional responsibilities. The role also develops skills in interviewing, writing, proofreading, and database management.
